Shepherds
- The Bible contains many stories about groups of shepherds. Moses and David both had jobs as shepherds. Abraham's and Lot's herdsmen fell out with each other and their flocks had to be separated and moved to new grazing land.
- This part of the shepherd's story is found in Genesis, chapter 13, verses 1 to 18.
- Shepherds are found in the story of Moses meeting Zipporah, King Asa's raid and the birth of Jesus.
- Shepherds will appear in our Festive 2by2 game.
Shepherd
- Jesus told a story about a shepherd who left his flock in the pasture to search for a lost sheep. When he found the sheep, he celebrated with his friends.
- This part of the shepherd's story is found in Luke, chapter 15, verses 1 to 7.
- A shepherd is also found in the stories of Abel's sacrifice, Rachel's meeting with Jacob at the well and young David fighting a lion and a bear.
- Shepherds will appear in our Festive 2by2 game.
Sheep
- Sheep were an important source of wool and food. They were bought, sold, stolen and sacrificed throughout the Bible. God gave Abraham a ram to sacrifice instead of his son Isaac after he had tested Abraham's faith.
- This part of the shepherd's story is found in Genesis, chapter 22, verses 1 to 14.
- Sheep are also found in the stories of Abraham's flocks, Moses working for Jethro, David the shepherd boy and the announcement of Jesus' birth by the angels.

Angels
- An angel told a group of shepherds in the hills above Bethlehem about Jesus' birth. Suddenly, the whole sky was full of angels praising God. The shepherds rushed off, leaving their sheep, and were the first visitors to the stable.
- This part of the shepherds story is found in Luke, chapter 2, verses 8 to 20.
- Angels are also found in the stories of Adam's & Eve's eviction, Balaam's talking donkey, Jacob's dream of a ladder to heaven and Zechariah being struck dumb.
