Judas Iscariot

  • Judas Iscariot was the son of a man called Simon and came from Judea. He was called by Jesus to be one of his twelve special helpers known as the disciples. Judas became the treasurer of the group.
  • This part of Judas' story is found in Matthew, chapter 10, verses 1 to 4.
  • Judas appears in our Babble.on, Ballyhoo!, 2by2 and Go Fish games.

Disciples

  • The disciples were a group of people picked by Jesus to work with him during his ministry. They were an odd mix of men from different places and with various jobs and skills. After Jesus ascended into heaven, they went out into the world to share his message.
  • This part of Judas' story is found in Acts, chapter 2,verses 1 to 9.
  • Judas and the adventures of the disciples are also found throughout the four Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, and continue in Acts.
  • All the disciples appear in our Go Fish game. Various disciples appear in our Babble.on, Ballyhoo!, 2by2 and Numbers games.

Coins

  • Judas secretly met with the High Priest and other Jewish leaders. They had been plotting against Jesus. Judas agreed to betray Jesus for 30 silver pieces. During the last supper with Jesus and the disciples, Judas slipped out to meet with the plotters. 
  • This part of Judas' story is found in Matthew, chapter 26, verses 14 to 16.
  • Coins are also found in the stories of Joseph being sold into slavery, Jesus' parable about a woman who lost a coin and Zacchaeus paying back the people he swindled.
  • Coins appear in our Scramble and 2by2 games.

Rope

  • Judas identified Jesus to the soldiers in the garden by greeting him with a kiss. Later, Judas was sorry for betraying Jesus and tried to give the money back but the Jewish leaders refused. Racked with guilt, Judas went out into a field and hanged himself from a tree. His place in the disciples was filled by Matthias.
  • This part of Judas' story is found in Matthew, chapter 27, verses 1 to 10 and in Acts, chapter 1, verses 21 to 26.
  • Rope is also found in the stories of the two spies escaping from Jericho, Samson's trick on Delilah about his hair and Haman's execution for treason.
  • Rope does not appear in our Lootro games yet but watch this space for news.
