Sword

  • Ehud appeared before Eglon to pay a special tax known as a tribute - a type of rent for his people. Ehud claimed he had a secret message for the king. Eglon dismissed his careless guards who had not searched Ehud properly. Ehud plunged his hidden sword into Eglon's fat stomach, spilling his guts, but Ehud couldn't pull the sword out as the king's fat had closed over the handle. Ehud locked the door and climbed out of a window to get away.
