Sheep

  • Abraham and Isaac set off for a walk. They took with them a bundle of sticks with which to build an altar fire. God told Abraham to tie up Isaac and place him on top of the sticks but God did not let him kill his son. God was simply testing Abraham's faith. There was a ram nearby caught in the bushes by its horns. Abraham sacrificed the ram to God instead of his son Isaac.

  • Sheep are also found in the stories of David the shepherd boy, Jesus' birth and the parable of the Good Shepherd.
