Gory Story rules

The game contains 45 characer cards, made up of 37 red gory stories and 8 golden marvellous miracles, civering 8 deadly categories, along with 5 pairs of action cards.Shuffle the deck and deal 5 cards to each player. The rest are placed face down as a draw pile. 

The first player discards any number of character cards, red or golden, from a chosen category. In succession, each person plays a single red or golden character card from that same category or any blue acgtion card. Red gory story cards are added to the discard pile while golden marvellous miracle cards may be discarded or passed to another player. As each golden card contains a marvellous miracle, you will be sharing the good news.

The actions on the blue cards are played straight away and the cards added to the discard pile.

• When you Smash & Grab, take a card from one player and give it to another player. 
• Play a Stock & Lock card and choose someone to miss their next  turn.
• Use Double Trouble to force someone to lift two cards from the draw pile.
• With a Washed Away card, pick a player to replace all their cards from the draw pile.
• When there's Skullduggery, all the players pass their cards to the left or to the right - you decide which direction everyone goes.

Every time a blue action card is played, the next person starts with a different deadly category.  

Gory Story tips

Don't hold onto your action cards until the end because you cannot finish on an action card.

With the Skullguggery action card, there's no advantage in moving the cards left or hand too early in the game because everyone will have the same number of cards.
